Chapter 2: Interactions within Ecosystems

Chapter 2 explores some of the interactions within ecosystems, between biotic and abiotic factors, and the various roles that organisms have within the ecosystems.  The concepts of producers, consumers and decomposers are explained, and we define the concepts of herbivores, carnivores and omnivores.  Food chains and webs, along with a quick introduction to the nutrient cycle is also covered.
